A craft passed down from great-grandpa to grandma to dad — and now from Sireena to her boys.
Hi, I'm Sireena — the hands behind every piece that leaves Bearly Western. I'm a female ironworker by trade and a leatherworker by obsession, based in Cedar, MN.
I didn't start with a shop full of fancy equipment. I started with what mattered most: a family craft going back generations, a little stubbornness, and a best friend who surprised me with a box of vintage Craftool USA tools they found at a garage sale. That collection of stamping irons and swivel knives changed everything.
Every belt I make is a custom order. That means every width, every length, every stitch pattern, every hardware choice — it's made for one specific person. No templates, no conveyor belts, no shortcuts.
Start Your Custom Order"If it doesn't smell like leather and stubbornness, I didn't make it."— Sireena, Bearly Western
Leather runs in my family. From my great-grandpa, to my grandma, to my dad — and now from me to my boys. Watching them work a piece of leather on the floor is one of the best things I've ever seen. Only time will tell if they catch the same bug.
That's what handmade means to me. It's not just a product — it's a transfer of care. You can feel the difference the moment you hold something made by actual human hands. There's intention in every punch, every stitch, every edge finish.
When you order from Bearly Western, you're not just getting a belt. You're getting something made by a person who genuinely loves this craft.
The same standards go into a $50 belt as a $200 tooled custom. Every time.
We start with premium full-grain cowhide — the strongest, most durable cut. Not bonded. Not split. The real thing.
Buckstitch, gunslinger, saddle stitch — each thread is pulled by hand or set with purpose. You'll see the difference and feel it.
Length, width, color, hardware, stitching, personalization — you design it, I build it. Nothing is off-the-shelf.
Everything is made right here in Minnesota. No overseas factories. No subcontractors. Just me, in my shop, doing the work.
You'll get a quote before I start. No surprise bills, no vague "a few weeks." I respect your time as much as I respect the leather.
A well-made leather belt should last decades. I build mine to be handed down — not replaced next season.
Simple process, serious craftsmanship.
Every piece starts with a conversation. You tell me what you want — the style, the size, the hardware, whether you want your name stamped in or a custom tooled pattern. I ask questions until I understand exactly what you're picturing.
Then I source or pull the leather, cut it to your exact length and width, wet-form if needed for tooling, stamp and tool any designs, punch every hole by hand, set the hardware, and apply multiple coats of finish for protection and patina.
When it's done, I photograph it before it ships — because I'm proud of it and I want you to see it before it arrives at your door.
